I used this application when I was studying abroad in Europe. I was able to see the street view of a hostel I was staying at in Copenhagen. It was really helpful because hostels can sometimes be difficult to find. I can see how this might present a privacy concern for the government and individuals if additional information is gathered. Hopefully Google is able to fix its methods of information gathering to match its intended, legal objectives.
