I thought this was rather interesting. It makes sense that if we can purchase one product that replaces 10 others, we should. An i-phone for example can replace the use of a GPS, mp3-player, and a PDA among other devices. Certainly, there will be people who still buy these products individually because they don't need all the features smartphones offer. But, overall smartphones have and will decrease the demand for these other products.
