My dad just got an i-pad for his birthday. I know that for my mom who is not tech savy at all it was tough to compare all of the features that the different options had to offer. There are so many different ones on the market today.
The i-pad is the first of its kind and as the article mentions it will take time for copy cats to appear. In fact, these copy cats are just appearing in the market now. However it is evident that the competition that has entered the market are lacking all of the features that the ipad has. The ipad may be expensive but its features outweigh the competition by far. Also by establishing themself in the market first they have added value to their brand.
