Key Ring and card star would certainly be effcient, and convenient for the smartphone user. I do undertsand that they are early in this tech-development process, and that there are a few glitches they may forsee. It would probably be better if the clerk can just scan the savings bar code, then type the numbers in, for the sake of both the clerk and other customers waitng in line not getting fustrated.

Before using this card holders should check with their local stores to make sure they can scan the card right from their phone. If not I agree with Colleen K. and can forsee this causing a big problem with store lines and customer satisfaction.
I believe the Key Ring or Cardstar could be a good idea. However, there are some downfalls like the article mentions. With technology changing so fast, more companies and applications are being designed. Not all designs have all their parts worked out properly to suite all phones, like in this case. I agree with both of the girls that this can be a problem for the store and customers.
